The initial posts of this blog will provide insight on collectible wines in Argentina and Chile. Our goal is to inform collectors and investors on the fundamentals of their potential wine investment. Rather than fall into a debate on whether the aroma is closer to leather than tobacco, we want to uncover who and what is behind the bottle. Just as one might analyze an equity share or a bond, we hope to provide you information on management, the history and current situation of the winery, the condition of the vineyard and additional factors that might affect the current or future value of the wine.
We appreciate the value of making tough decisions and therefore we will avoid grading wine on a scale and rather make comparisons and formulate a decision between two similar wines.
Our readers may agree or disagree with our opinion on the tasting, yet they will find our data invaluable in their decision to invest in a particular wine.
